Kill the Meeting

Discussions are about making thoughtful decisions and most discussions follow a pattern. A pattern that allows participants to have less meetings. We have turned this pattern into a flow that will be built into the bot. It will kill your synchronous meetings.

All of the discussions, notes, participants, and settings are right in Slack's App Home. No need to leave. Get more done by just using the tool you already are in.

Allow Tatsu to watch the services you already use like GitHub, Linear, and Basecamp. It will automate your standups for you based on your activity. The advatange of the status review without the manual work.

Every discussion in Tatsu will have a single identifier that you control. One spot to put all the information about a topic on any given day.

Tatsu will support open ended questions as it does today but also multiple choice, yes/no, synchronous and asynchronous question engines, even markdown.

What did your teammate say about that topic? Tatsu will make it easy to find the details about any topic so you can use that information in your company to your advantage.

You will now be able to have multiple discussions on the same day. You can specify your discussion appetite as an organization. Have "no meeting Fridays" or "5 discussions per week" or "all you can eat". It's your appetite.

Someone in some office pay for things? The next version will make taking care of the billing much easier. The "bill-payers" won't have to be involved in your discussions.

Have something to discuss? Easily create an agenda for you and others to get the discussion rolling. On their time but within your timeframe.

Get stats on your discussions. How many discussions vs meetings do you average per team? How many meetings interrupt participants? Do participants think the discussion was useful? All of this is gathered for you only if you care.

Heading out to the Caribbean for ten days and don't want to think about work? Let Tatsu know real quick. Did you forget before you left? A jealous teammate take care of ya.

Team going to an off-site for a week and don't need your regular discussions? You can pause your recurring discussions for a specific topic and specified amount of time. Or, even better, indefinately!

See something you can help a teammate with? Tatsu will provide an easy way to discuss it, either synchronously or, preferably, asynchronously.

In flow? Tell Tatsu (and your teammates) not to bother you. You are doing real work.

Set boundaries with your team. Tell Tatsu when it (and your teammates) can bother you. Gain balance.

Been in the flow? Tatsu will help you catch-up with the discussions that have occured while you were doing work. Remove the FOMO.

Got some extra time on your hands? Have a set period for "office hours"? Tatsu will make it easy for you to let your teammates know you are available to provide help. Get your team unstuck.

Silly to say but you own your time. Every aspect of Tatsu allows you to control your time and attention. You won't be "pulled-in" unless you want to.

Setup Tatsu to watch what you did yesterday and your plans for today and Tatsu will automatically generate a summary for your team, using, *gulp*, AI. Don't worry, we are not that good. Tatsu can send the summaries to review first.

If you use Tatsu for standups, you can continue doing that. But our goal is to kill the meeting. We started with standups but you will be able to kill more.

Do you need to adjust participants before a discussion? Maybe. During a discussion? Probably. Either way, Tatsu will make it easy to remove or bring in participants, but only participants that are available.

Waiting for a response for a participant? You can set a time you'd like them to respond by and Tatsu will nudge them along. But only if they want to be nudged.

Tatsu will make it easy to timebox a discussion. If people do not respond and you don't care, end it already.

There are always those that want to know everything that is going on. Allow for observers within a discussion. They have access but they do not participate.

Tatsu has grown up. It's built on Juvet, a bot framework built on communication infrastructure.

The new framework that Tatsu is built on will not bring down your bot because of some other company's bad-bahaving bot. We have some bots watching your bot to make sure it's on the job.

Sometimes you need information from teammates on a recurring basis (like standups). Tatsu will be able to schedule discussions like it can today. You won't have to leave Slack and you can create custom schedules.
