Pricing Q+A

Can I try Tatsu for free?
Absolutely. You can install Tatsu without a credit card and try Tatsu free for 14 days.

Once your free trial is complete, you will be asked to select a plan and enter your credit card details.

What occurs if I exceed the number of users allowed on the Startup plan?
You will be asked to select a plan to switch to. Once you select the plan, your billing period will begin and you will be charged for your first month.
What happens at the end of my free trial?
Once your free trial is complete, you will be asked to select a plan and enter your credit card details.

You can stay on the free plan if you qualify even after your free trial is complete.

Can I manage who can use Tatsu in my Slack workspace?
Yes. If you have a lot of users in your Slack workspace and you only have a subset of users who wish to use Tatsu, then you may want to limit who participates using the Participation plan.

The Participation plan allows your team to limit your costs with a little more administration for your Tatsu participants.

Is there a discount when the entire Slack workspace can use Tatsu?
Yes! If you want Tatsu to grow with your workspace, you will receive a discount for each Tatsu participant.

All plans except for the Participation plan support entire workspaces without the need for an administrator to administrate who has access.

How does billing work?
Your first billing period starts 14 days after you install Tatsu. You are then billed at the end of your billing cycle.

If you are on a monthly billing cycle, you are billed every 30 days for the number of Tatsu participants. Every new Tatsu participant activated in the month is added to the number of active Tatsu participants for that month.

If you are subscribed to an annual plan, you are billed every year for the number of Tatsu participants. Every new Tatsu participant activated each month are charged with a prorated charge for the rest of the annual billing period. For example, a new participant activated in March are charged for ten months.

What is a Tatsu participant and when are they charged?
A Tatsu participant is any Slack user who creates a new Tatsu discussion point (e.g. a new task, poll, etc.) or interacts with them (e.g. edits a task, votes on a poll, completes a task).

At the end of each billing period, Tatsu participants are counted and charged dependent on the plan’s billing cycle.

How do I remove a Tatsu participant?
If you are on any plan except for the Participation plan, any Slack user that is deactivated from your workspace is automatically removed from the pool of current Tatsu participants.

On the Participation plan, a Tatsu administrator can remove any Tatsu participant from the pool of Tatsu participants.

How do I cancel my Tatsu subscription?
Simply uninstall Tatsu from your workspace and your subscription will automatically be cancelled.

You can reinstall Tatsu at anytime and your billing period will start on that reinstallation date.

Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?
Yes! You can switch between monthly and annual billing cycles at anytime.

If you switch from an annual plan to a monthly plan, that change will take place at the end of the current annual billing cycle.

If you switch from a monthly plan to an annual plan, you will be billed right away for the annual plan with a proration for the remaining of your month.

Can I switch between the Participants and Everyone plans?
Yes! You can switch between the Participants plan and any other plan that charge for your entire workspace.

You will be charged a prorated rate for the remaining of the billing period you are switching from.

If you switch between an entire workspace and a Participation plan, every current Tatsu participant will be added to the participation list where you can remove any of the participants.

Do you offer discounts for educational or non-profit organizations?
Of course. Feel free to install Tatsu and try it during the trial period to see if it fits your needs.
